Edu-Tech BVBA, Maria-Theresiaplein 45, 3000 Leuven. We prefer to collect as little data as possible from our customers. However, this is sometimes really necessary, for example, when you are a customer and wish to use our services. We always handle your data carefully and do everything we can to ensure your privacy. As a company specialised in modern cloud technology, we would like to provide you with the following privacy assurances.

1. We never share your personal data with other parties without a valid reason.
2. We protect your personal data as if it were our own.
3. We use your personal data only for the purposes clearly described below.

2 Purposes for processing

We process your data only in the context of

• The customer administration
• The suppliers' administration
• Organising events such as webinars
• Informing customers about activities of Edu-Tech or suppliers
• The possible forwarding of offers from Edu-Tech or third parties for the customers
• Handling questions or complaints from customers or third parties against customers

Name and address

We process your name because we prefer to address you personally rather than with some code. Without your address, we cannot issue any "invoices" and we also cannot contact you should we fail to reach you in another way.

Email address and phone number

Your email is needed to communicate with you. Furthermore, we will send you "invoices" exclusively via email. In addition, we will keep you updated on the activities we organise, any offers we find interesting enough to share with you, and all other information regarding your services.

Payment details

We process your payment details through the services of our bank and any online payment platforms.

Of course, you are free to choose not to receive emails from us and to let us know, except for those regarding invoicing.

3 Transfer to third parties

Your data will only be passed on to processors, who receive a specific instruction from Edu-Tech for this purpose and may only process the data for the purposes mentioned above, based on a processing agreement. We do not sell your data to anyone. We will only share your data with others in the following cases:

• For the provision or execution of our services
• For payment services to enable various payment methods.
• For the execution of a legal obligation

Overview of processors

4 Edu-Tech as processor

For some services, Edu-Tech acts as a processor. If this is the case for you and there is no processing agreement yet, you can always forward it to [email protected]. If you do not have one yourselves, we can assist you with that.

5 Retention Periods

Data is retained for a period that is necessary for the purposes of processing. In exception to this, we are obliged to keep accounting data for seven years.

6 How do we store your data?

Your data is handled in a secure manner. Therefore, we use various security technologies and measures to appropriately protect your data against unauthorised access, use, loss, or disclosure. These technologies and measures are tested and adjusted as necessary at regular intervals.

7 Rights of the data subject

Customers have the following rights regarding Edu-Tech:

• The right to access and rectify their data processed by Edu-Tech.
• The right to the erasure and restriction of their data processed by Edu-Tech, to the extent that this is compatible with the purposes of the processing.
• The right to object if you no longer wish to be informed about updates or direct marketing emails.
• The right to data portability in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format.
• The right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority.

If the purposes for processing change or this notice is amended, Edu-Tech will communicate this in advance. If you believe that your data is being processed incorrectly, you can file a complaint with a supervisory authority at https://www.gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be/verzoek-klacht-indienen.
