Network management and security (v. 2025) – Frederik Vanhoo

This course will get you started in a Windows client-server networking environment. You will start on-premises (local in a virtual server room) and after learning a lot of components, move on to managing your own cloud environment via Microsoft 365. Throughout the course, you will learn a lot of components that play an important role within network management and security. In quite a few places within the course, "additional depths" are covered. These certainly add value, but are not essential. This course can be seen as a continuation of "Getting Started with Network Management", but can also be taken as a separate course. Together with the first part "Getting Started with Network Administration", the curriculum objectives "Managing Networks" and "Data Communications and Network Systems" for the secondary school courses "Application and Data Management" and "Computer and Communication Sciences" are addressed.
